Choice Precision Machine, Inc. has announced its 2009 capitalization projects. From our ISO 9001 management review meeting we have learned that our customers prefer that we had in-house EDM capability. We are pleased to publicize that we will be purchasing a Sodick AG35L Sinker EDM and an AQ537L wire EDM. Along with the EDM machines we will also be adding to our line of surface grinders with a SuperTec 16” x 32” new grinder too.

Sodick's linear motor technology provides instantaneous servo time, which maximizes cutting efficiency. Since there are no ball screws or couplings, backlash is totally eliminated. This provides several advantages, including improved positioning and cutting accuracy, while providing smooth and vibration free table movement.

After 16 years in business Choice Precision Machine, Inc. announces it has its first retiree. Dale Munjone retires to enjoy his personal life. Tom Gunkel President of Choice Precision said "It has been a great privilege to have Dale work for the company the years he did, thank you and I wish you the very best”.

Choice Precision Machine, Inc. has completed it capitalization project into 5-axis machining. Today’s technology and design make 5-axis machine tools much more affordable. This, combined with ever-increasing computing power of the Mazatrol CNC and off-line multi-axis MasterCam programming have exceeded our expectations of 5-axes machining for variety of part configurations. Advantages can be found in lot sizes from just one piece up to medium-volume production.

We fully support and respect the significance of this stamp of approval for our customers and ourselves. We would also like to highlight the continuing importance we place on quality; not only in our products, but in the processes that form the basis of all our business activities. We are very proud of the fact that with this certification, Choice Precision Machine becomes registered to an internationally recognized quality standard.

In addition to maintaining the stringent quality standards, the company continues to invest in capital to enhance all of our processes. We look forward to the capital expansion of additional CNC milling equipment including Mazak Intergrex series IV multi tasking machine tools (Winter/Spring 2008).
